Synovus Bank Amphitheater at Chastain Park
The Fray & Dashboard Confessional are taking over the Synovus Bank Amphitheater on Wednesday, August 5th. This is a part of the "Summer of Light" Tour, which the boys from The Fray are headlining. If you haven't seen The Fray live in their post-Isaac Slade era, you might be in for quite the surprise. Not a lot of bands are able to survive the departure of a long-time frontman, but The Fray has leaned into acoustic versions of tracks. You could argue that a lot of their top songs cut much deeper in this new format.
Of course, it's also a chance for Dashboard Confessional fans to jump on board. The band was a part of a widely successful summer tour last year, and this promises to be no different. If you want to get your 2000s rock fix, this is the event for you. Be sure to click the "Buy Tickets" link soon to be at the Synovus Bank Amphitheater for this one.
Did you ever find God on the corner of First and Amistad? If you got the referance then you're ready for this concert! A lot of these tracks by The Fray have a deeply emotional undertone. It's worth it to slow things down and dive deep into the lyrics because they bring incredible insights. Now with Joe King handling main vocal duties for The Fray, that's actually what you're going to get. While some fans are still hurt by the departure of Isaac Slade, this new version of The Fray leans into the acoustic vibes and takes advantage of the fact that these songs are incredibly well-written. That's going down inside the Synovus Bank Amphitheater.
If we're talking about the depth in songs by The Fray and you being over your head, Dashboard Confessional also falls into this category of mainstream performers with incredibly deep songs. "Hands Down" and "Vindicated" are two perfect examples of what we're talking about. Don't be too surprised, then, if at one point in the show you scan the amp and you find that there aren't too many dry eyes in sight. This emotional undertone is going to be present throughout the night.
Being close to the stage is going to give you that rock concert vibe. Yet, this is shaping up to be a bit of a longer night than usual. Keep in mind that both The Fray and Dashboard Confessional are likely going to put in full sets. You could be looking at a full show that lasts 3 or 4 hours. That could open up the possibility of finding a spot within the main theater where you don't have to be up on your feet for the duration of the event. Something to think about as you navigate to get your tickets.
This might be the best news you'll hear all day! Spots inside this venue are starting at only $67. Be sure to click the "Buy Tickets" link to grab yours today.
