Scottish rock phenomenons Simple Minds are returning to the road in style! They have announced a massive North America headline tour, and it’s their biggest live run across the US and Canada in forty years!! The trek’s June outing is undoubtedly the most anticipated date of the tour. On Saturday 7th June, Simple Minds will be making their way to the stunning Cadence Bank Amphitheatre, and it’s going to be EPIC. Joining Simple Minds on the road for The Alive & Kicking Tour 2025 are special guests Soft Cell and Modern English. Soft Cell burst onto the scene in the early 80s as Marc Almond and Dave Ball took synth-pop to a new, darker level. The duo experimented with a minimalist electronic sound and sang about hedonism and heartbreak. Meanwhile, Modern English originates from Essex, and boasts a sound steeped in emotion. Simple Minds have just announced a HUGE North American headline tour. In fact, it’s the band’s biggest live run across the US and Canada in four whole decades!! The Alive & Kicking Tour 2025 will take over top notch arenas and amphitheaters across the continent from May. The Scottish rock band will be joined by special guests Soft Cell and Modern English.
The trek starts on May 16 at the stunning Cascades Bank Amphitheater in Ridgefield, Washington, and will make its way through major cities like LA, Austin, Phoenix, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Toronto, and many more! The Alive & Kicking Tour 2025 will wrap up on June 22 at the Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana.
To celebrate the milestone, a newly remastered issue of Once Upon a Time has also been announced. This edition boasts fan favorites and classics like “Alive and Kicking,” “Sanctify Yourself,” as well as a new addition: the smash hit “Don’t You (Forget About Me),” brought to life in “The Breakfast Club” soundtrack.
“Hindsight is a glorious thing!” says Simple Minds frontrunner Jim Kerr. “Forty years on and it now feels right for Simple Minds to have Don’t You (Forget About Me) included in this classy new nine track edition of Once Upon A Time.”
Simple Minds burst onto the scene from Glasgow in the late seventies. And ever since, listeners can't get enough of their post-punk sound! Spearheaded by Jim Kerr, the band cooked up their own brand of music that is both raw and cinematic.

The quartet recently treated fans with some newer work, including the single, “Not My Leader,” which channels their rebellious spirit.
