So, at this point you might be asking - what even is yacht rock anyway?! Classified as smooth rock mixed together with jazz, r&b and lots of funky guitar - sure, the genre is probably popular on your favorite Royal Caribbean cruise line too, but it’s also permeated into everyday popular culture and stages across the world as the go-to jams for those laid back and chill summer vibes we’re always craving. And this summer here at Synovus Amphitheater - we’re giving you that and more with the OGs! Synovus, located right on the north side of the Atlanta metro area and dubbed as one of the premiere venues for all your outdoor concert cravings, we’re so excited to welcome The Yacht Rock Revue crew as they bring their 2025 Yacht Rock Forever Tour right back home for all of us to enjoy and sing a long to this August on Saturday the 23rd. And as they hit over twenty stages across America this summer - they’ll also be making detours in North Carolina’s Amp Ballantyne, The Wiltern in Los Angeles, Pier 17 in NYC, The Hamptons, Salt Shed Chicago, House of Blues Cleveland, and of course - right here at Synovus as they close out their 2025 tour at the end of this summer. 

Yacht Rock Revue is the oh so summer band formed in 2007 that you need to know before the next time you take sail. Formed right here in Atlanta almost two decades ago, the band focuses generally on covers of 70s and 80s rock songs, and got their name from an early 2000s web series that went by the same name. Dubbed as one of the pioneers of the genre and definitely one of its strongest acts - the group which started as a side project has become one of the most recognized and sought out bands in the industry for all of our evening shows and sunset serenades around the lake. And though they formed back in the early 2000s, their first official single came out in 2019 - Step. The song then turned into an album debut, and the band has been putting on shows all across the map ever since then. They’ve performed with some of the greatest rock legends around - including Robbie Dupee, Bobby Kimball, Bill Champlin, Denny Laine, and many many others.
